I posted something earlier but doesn’t look like it went through.
We made it to Chi-Town and are on our way to Scotland as I type this.
I got a text this morning saying our initial flight was late and we would have about 30 minutes to our international flight - the general conesus in the group was “we’re f*****”
We got out of our Chicago flight at 6 and sprinted to our international flight and barely made it. I always thought I got my speed from my mom but after seeing my dad run to the next terminal, I’m not sure.
We got to DFW around 12 and our flight took off around 3:45 so I took some time to “hydrate” before our first flight. I was talking to a pilot flying back to Louisiana when I got a text from my dad saying we were leaving. I didn’t have time to go to the restroom but I thought I could hold it. Wrong. After a while on the run way and a slow ascent to cruising altitude, I finally had to make a dash to the restroom despite the seatbelt light being on. I was flashed back to my grandmother mountain climbing up the 45° ascent on the flight as it took off around Frankfurt to go to the bathroom and finally understand why she did it. Like they always say, you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself turn into your grandmother.
We’re taking off now, hopefully this posts because I’m not typing this again - I will update this when we land.
Glad y’all made it in time. Hope they sprinted your luggage.
